Coaches Commentary

Oh this young man has had a very trying rookie season, with the litigation, the notoriety, his subsequent deportation to Canada and that country’s refusal to accept him, well, I guess that’s more than most 21-year-olds can handle. Number six, Ogie Oglethorpe."

COACHES PRESENT FRED GRAY AWARD

The Fred Gray Award, named for the top booster of Ice Jack Hockey who assisted the team with web site design, team and individual photos and also video recorded each game, was presented Friday November 7th. Mr. Gray traveled with the team taking the team gear to each venue. He even rented a Budget Rental box van for the national tournament in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Mr. Gray passed away after the NAU road trip to Albuquerque last season.

Mr. Gray’s wife and two daughters attended the ceremony and Ice Jacks Junior forward Michael Gray was the first player to receive the award presented to the hardest working player.   GO JACKS!!
